what should i do on my first break from my baby?
i have not been away fom my baby since conception. shes 11 1/2 months old. i am highly stressed out and not acting like myself andd im sick n tired of it!!! im demanding mommy time. i have to get away from her. obviously i love the crap out of her, but when you have a baby feeding off of you during pregnancy, basically attatched to your breast for months of its life, and consuming every second of your time and disturbing your sleep for who knows how long-- even supermom needs a break. im thinking about a good long nap. what do you think

did swaddling your baby at night help?
i have heard that swaddling makes them more secure and feel like they are still being held. and i was just wondering if it may help my son... he can go into a good sleep when i hold him during the night after a feeding. and every time i lay him down in his bed he wakes up and throws a big fit. also when he does go to sleep, he wakes up so many times during the night. he's only like sleeping 15 minutes at a time. this is after he's ate, been changed.. and he is not sick. he went to the doctor's last week and again yesterday. he is perfecting fine except he may have some acid reflux. also... how exactly do you swaddle a baby? i seen the hospital do it but i am not sure how to do it! i know you use the receiving blankets?

which feeding did you supplement first?
when weaning? Irritated--No I am clearly not asking about beginning solids. I am asking about weaning the baby from breastfeeding. No offense but I could care less when you stopped breastfeeding and you have no idea how old my baby is. Please everybody don't lecture me about quitting nursing just answer my question about which feeding you replaced first for gosh sake.

African Pygmy Hedgehogs as Pets?
I have been seriously considering for a while now purchasing a hedgehog as a pet. I have read up information and facts on various hedgehog guide sites, and so now know some general information on hedgehog care. But now, I want to ask other hedgehog owners; How are they as pets? Just basic temperament, sanitary (smell and cleanliness), interaction with humans (intelligence, play habits, etc), and anything else you might want to add in about owning a hedgehog. Remember, I AM a first time owner, meaning that every single information you feed me won't be received without gratitude. Thanks to all who took time to answer my question.

Haight and Ashbury little black book?
In my youth I took a trip and found myself on a wall around Haight and Ashbury, hanging out with other transients in the area. Someone showed me a little black book, it was quite worn and I don't know the date of it or title, but it did say Haight and Ashbury on the cover. In the book were direction for safely doing drugs, having sex, and where to go if you were hungry, what churches or priests would help you, which groups or organizations would feed you, where to get a hot shower or meal or whatnot. Tons of information for being a transient (for lack of a better word). Does anyone out there know what this book was called, or where a person could grab a copy? Or even how much it would be worth (if anything) if one was to have a copy? This has been bothering me for a while now, and I can't seem to find anything about it...thanks.

Can ducks and swans eat quiche crust?
I'm going to the park later and will hopefully be feeding the ducks and swans, if they haven't gone to bed! I'm currently eating a quiche, and don't really want to eat the crust as it's unnecessary calories. Should I take the crust along with me, or will it harm them? I don't want to be responsible for killing a whole bunch of animals lol :(
