Fussy

what to do about a very gassy newborn?
i have an almost 5 week old baby girl who is both breast and bottle fed. when i breat feed i burp her in between switching sides and when i bottle feed i burp at every 2 ounces. i always get a decent amount of burps out of her and she doesn't seem fussy or uncomfortable but then when i put her down to sleep she starts passing gas a lot. she'll start groaning and grunting very loudly and fidgeting and of course farting more than i imagine a little baby should. she'll then fall back asleep and a few minutes later the same thing will start up again. this can go on for up to 2 hours. she doesn't fuss about it but it does keep her from getting some good rest and it just doesn't seem like a very comfortable way to live. we're going to the doctors on tuesday but i always like to hear what other mother's would or did do in this situation. thanks.

What Is Your Ferret Like??????????????
I just wanna know what other peoples pet ferrets are like. My little Pixie, who is only about 8 weeks old, is a little nipper. Nothing I do stops her biting. She cries when she's by herself (which is why I got a second ferret), she sleeps so much and when she's sleepy she tries her best to fight it! :) She'll try to keep playing but her body is too tired and she'll fall asleep mid-bite! :) When she's let out of her cage she goes around exploring the house. She's an independent little one. Noah on the other hand is a complete messer!!! He's about 12 weeks old. He always wants to be out and when he's let out he runs around like mad! He gets so excited and jumps around the place, climbs everything, bites everyones feet. He's insane!! he is obsessed with drinks left in cups or glasses around the house! he'll tip them over and try to drink whatever it is! he's not fussy. While typing this he managed to knock over my cup of Coke all over the couch =/ He does bite but is a bit more of a licker. Basically, my ferrets are brilliant! Minus the biting of course :)

Puppy name suggestions please..???
Hi I probably will be getting a female Blenheim King Charles puppy within the next few weeks. I know I should wait to see her before thinking of a name but I just am afraid that I won't be able to think of one! I have a list of some but I would like more please. I don't want to name her after famous people or characters, but maybe cartoon, like Disney characters. I don't want names that are too people-like like Amy or Grace or anything. I love the name Sasha because I could imagine it on a puppy too. I also like Gypsy, Izzy, Marigold and Poppy. I really like flower names but simple ones. I don't want any nicknames like Baby or Dog or Cat. Please don't give me any links to puppy name sites unless the names aren't in alphabetical order. Also could you give me your opinion on the ones I like as well as a list of your own suggestions please? Thanks and sorry I am so fussy!!! :-S :-)

Baby with high fever and San Diego trip in 2 hours?
My 1 year old is with the high fever of 101-103. It is highest at night. During the day he seems to be fine but then at night tends to be more fussy due to his body temp rising. We are leaving to San Diego in 2 hours. His doctor's office is not open what should I do? Just take him on the tirp SICK, stay back home and take him to the doctors, or what? NEED HELP! ASAP!

Is height the only thing physical that girls are fussy about?

My 12 month old hates her car seat, should we delay holidays with long drives till she's older?
My one year old daughter hated her car seat since day one. I was told to just let her scream and cry, to just ignore her, she'll stop screaming once she sees that I dont respond. For the past nine months, she has screamed and cried. I have ignored and ignored, but theres no progress. Of course there are some days where shes a good little girl and she sits quietly until we get home. The problem comes when her father, my husband, is in the car. He's too soft on her, and when she cries he cant handle it and insists that she be taken out of her car seat. He offers to hold her in his lap. Of course she doesnt sit still. She plays with the radio, the gears, the light switch, if shes in the front. If she's in the back, she climbs over everything. I do not like her to be out of her car seat. But I feel that her crying, which is horrendous, bothers passengers in the car. Am I being too fussy about this car seat thing? Should I let her out of it, if others are in the car? They think i use the car seat when i'm alone, because theres no one to hold her. They know I want her to be buckled up safe, in case something happens. I have insisted that she remains in her seat, when others are there, but they think I'm being too hard headed about it. They say things like, what if she's hurt or its a long drive, maybe shes bored now. I KNOW shes fine. She's only one years old. but she's manipulatiive. Should I let others guilt me into letting her out of her seat? I'd like to go on holidays, but am now thinking of delaying it until she's like 4, when others will hopefully toughen up on her and we can reason with her to stay in her seat. As it is now, when we go on long drives, she's not in her seat as her father cant handle her crying and would rather she plays in the car. what should I do to get her father to see things my way? Another question: What to do if her aunt or grandmother wants to take her to the shops with them, which is just down the road? Or if they want to take her and all her cousins somewhere? they'll hold her in their lap. Even if i put the car seat in their car, they'll just take her out once she fusses. The thing is, if I say she can't go with them, then they'll really think I'm being mean to them (in laws!). should I just let her go with them and have fun, since its the norm here in Botswana to have babies out of the car seat? Or should I stand my ground, even If they think I'm overdoing it ?
