I want to work at a preschool.? Though I have no training of any kind with children, like an ECE, certificate. I do have my first aide and cpr. And I do have 12 nieces and nephews and I know I want to work with children, I just don't know how to get like an assisstant job without having your ECE. I'm open to taking my ECE or other infant care courses, I would just like to get a job at a daycare or preschool this year. (since getting your ece takes 2 years) Thanks for any help!! How much does in home infant care cost per week? Hi I am watching my sisters 2 month old baby. She offered me 120 $ a week for 50 hour weeks. This doesn't seem like much to me but I don't really know how much day care costs. I also watch my son who is a 1 year old, and so it is hard for me to watch them both, and I don't know if 120 $ a week is worth it. I need context on how much is an average rate. I don't want to rip my sister off and I like to help out but I also don't want to work for 2.40 $ an hour. How much would a day care or home care cost for 50 hours a week? When is a good time to take childbirth classes, etc.? I'm 20 weeks now. The childbirth class takes four weeks here (1 day a week) so I thought around 30 weeks to go ahead and start it. I have two children of my own age 1 and 3. i have also taken many child development classes. i live in los angeles county i keep having pregnancy dreams that are rly messing me up? its scaring me soo badly. like yea like every young dumb teenager, they think one time or another that they want a baby. theres a difference between the people who want it just cuz they think it will be soo fun and easy, and there are the kids that just want to fill an empty void with something to care for and love unconditionally.... then theres the people who know how truly hard it is to hav a child while young and truly dont want one(but still, u question sometimes) im not ready for a child yet. im smart enough to know all the risks and hardships(especially with 2 years of infant care in highschool omg perfect birth control lol) but now with all these dreams, i keep thinking about it. not like i want one, but like if i somehow did, what all would happen to me? my friends, my family, my entire life... iv been obsessing over it fer the past 3 weeks. like what if thoughts(mainly bad ones though) and the feelings of love and bonding with the child that wud feel sooo good, but is sooo difficult that even alot of older adults cant even handle kids metally, physically, financially, or emotionally. what can i do. ive talked to my bf about these dreams and we use condoms AND im on birth control. i just wonder now... what should i do?? especially before my mind changes... im like going crazy over this did u not read it? i do talk to him and he uses a condom and im on birth control he sais he would but idt so... especially cuz his parents wouldnt be supportive AT ALL. im honestly worried about them more then him and im 17 almost 18 ughhh Cost of in home infant care? I'm looking in to getting someone to come to my house to look after my 6 month old daughter full time while I am at work. I would rather the one on one attention this would allow. I live in Ontario, where the minimum wage is 10.25 and hour. I don't think I could afford to pay someone that much but I'm not sure what an appropriate wage would be. Any ideas? I'm going to have a baby in June. No family around, is it poss/req to get specialist care for 1 month? Is there a website to look for infant care/mom care for a month? Also is it really required or can I manage on my own?
