Alright TTC mommies help me out, I know you know the in's and out's?
I spent my days on this sections a year ago.. I need a little advice or just opinion. I posted this in the Baby and newborn section the other day and got hold on let my get my magic wand So i thought Id try here since you all know when your ovulating and best time to TTC cause I was there last year. Now... I have a 5 1/2 month old :) When he was 1 month old I went back on the pill, was very irregular for awhile just around a week early ect. Everytime me and hubby did the deed? we also used condoms just because I was paranoid, deff not ready for another one. On valentines day we didnt use a condom, I figured Ive been on birth control for about 4 months I should be able to have it once without a condom. ALSO my period ended the DAY before because I remember joking with him that it ended just in time and I know that ovulation occurs a few days AFTER your period so I thought I would deff. be fine. Ever since then ive been paranoid. My boobs have been tingling like when I was breastfeeding ect and im due to get my period today. You think the chance is very slim right?? being on birth control and having your period end a few hours before hand. I actually dont even think it was completely gone because afterwards I started bleeding again for a few hours. ANY just OPINIONS would help. Not asking if im pregnant, asking the probability

Causes of green pasty poop in newborn / one month old?
My baby is 5 weeks old. Since week one, after the meconium was all passed, her BMs have been greenish and kind of pasty, with yellow poop in there too. She usually only goes every 2 days. I asked the Dr about it and he said it's nothing to be concerned about. She is formula fed, as I can't breastfeed due to medical reasons. She drinks Good Start. Yesterday she had a BM this color. But she didn't sleep all day and was colicky which is unusual for her. She has cramps and needed to pass gas and so I gave her gripe water and regualr water and she started to pass gas and burp better. She wasn't even taking her bottle a lot because her belly was so sore. Then she has a very gassy sounding BM and when I changed her it was all yellow andmore like baby poop, not diahrreah, but still a bit wet. Eventually she was able to take her bottle and sleep, as she has been up for almost 15 hours with only small half hour naps in between. I'm just wondering what caused the green poop, why was it more normal yesterday, and what could have caused all the built up gas? She doesn't always burp her last burp when she eats because she falls asleep while I'm trying to burp her. But I read that if a baby doesn't burp after 5 minutes then they don't need to burp, though now I'm thinking that's a bunch if bull. I also don't like giving her gripe water much, only when she really needs it. I just saw info on sodium bicarbonate in gripe water so I'm changing get brand because the stuff I have has this in it. Also get dad was lactose intolerant when be was born. But she hasn't been bothered by the milk before so I don't know if this is it. I have an appt with the Dr but it's not until the 17th as they are booked up.

please help me....I'm going out of my MIND!!!?
My 11 month old boy is driving me mad. He follows me round just whiiiiining. Its not crying, there are no tears. Its just a self-pity sounding whine and its grating my head!!! I love my boy so much but OH MY LIFE!!!! I sometimes wonder if this is worse than a newborn screeching in your ear. I am also 14 weeks pregnant so my temper fuse is slightly shorter than usual thanks to my hormones. Please advise me what I can do. I read him stories, I cuddle him. He sleeps and eats just fine. Some days he hardly notices I'm there - he just plays with his toys and toddles around. Then there are days like this.......... Bethany - I feel you girl lol

I had a weird dream about my brother a few nights ago. Could it mean anything?
My brother is in his twenties. I dreamed that me, my brother and my dad went to the shops on the bus and throughout the dream, my brother kept getting younger and younger. When we left the house, my brother was the age he is in real life. When we got on the bus, he was a teenager (about 13 or 14). When we got off the bus, he was about 8 and wanted to go in the toy shops, which we did. When we came out of the toy shops, we walked past the shops and came to a bridge with deep water each side and no barrier. By this time, my brother was about 3 years old and he ran off down the bridge and although he was only 3, he could run alot faster than me and my dad. We shouted my brother's name over and over again, worried he would fall in the water. Then I could not see my brother at all and was terrified as I thought he had fallen in the water. But then, an old lady passed me my brother. By now, he was a tiny newborn baby. I thanked the lady and held my baby brother in my arms feeling relieved and happy.

How are British parents different from American ones?
Please give a REAL answer and not one that's just supposed to be insulting. It's obvious to me how Brits and Americans are similar but I'm very curious as to how Brits and Americans are different. Let's compare cultures. For example, in India they would think it was absolutely NUTS to leave a newborn in a room all by himself but in America, newborns get their own separate rooms where the baby stays alone at night. I've heard British parents are very strict when it comes to their kids' brushing their teeth and as a result, most British kids have immaculate teeth and no cavities :] I've also heard British parents are quite distant with their kids and aren't as affectionate. What are some popular parenting techniques or trends for British parents?

What do you think of a dog greeting newborn?
My fiancee thinks its okay to let his mothers cat and dog come up to the baby when its born and be around it. I dread it happening, I'm not sure why but I don't think I'll feel comfortable them calling the dog to come over to the baby. His Mother treats the dog like royalty like its her baby or something so I can't just tell her I don't like it. What do you make of a dog meeting a new born? (I don't really want the dog near or touching my baby). Tim, if you're going to keep critisizing my questions, f*ck off and don't answer them... I don't hate dogs. I just don't particuarly like this dog. Just because some other dog was more caring over a baby than its own parents, doesn't mean the same for mine. I will protect MY baby better than anybody can (let alone a spoilt dog)! The reason I ask this question is because my own Mother told me to keep animals away from my baby when its a newborn. I just wanted other views... So don't try telling me a dog is more protective over a Mother! Thats insane... Mothers would do anything to protect they're own loved baby. I've carried my baby for 24 weeks, I haven't got too much longer left and I'll do anything for this special life inside me. You have never been pregnant so don't act you understand. A pregnant women/ a mother has every right to be concerned for her own childs health and safety!
