12 year old daughter's heart races periodically?
I wondered if anyone had a similar issue with their children. Our daughter is 12 years old and has always been healthy. A few months ago her heart started racing periodically, sometimes it lasts only a few minutes, sometimes up to an hour or so. Usually it is at night when lying down. We don't think it's diet related. I am a 43 year old male and I have had this problem for years. I wake up at night with a racing heart and then it slows after a few minutes. I think she inherited it from me. I am interested in responses from either medical professionals or parents who are experiencing this same issue with their kids.

I lost the love of my life. Please please help.?
Last year, I went out with a girl for a year, who I was friends with for many years before. She was perfect 0 She was absolutely breathtakingly stunning, smart (she was a doctor), was the kindest most warm hearted person I've ever met in my life. All the guys crushed on her so you can imagine how happy I was when we started going out. The year I spent with her was the happiest year of my life and and there was not one single thing wrong with her - she was like a goddess. When I was younger, my parents neglected me and I had a very unhappy upbringing, but she was the first person in my life that believed in me and truly loved me and gave me confidence I never had before. But then I started a new job and sat beside another woman. My girlfriend went away to visit her mother for a month in Canada, and while she was away I started to develop feelings for my coworker. She was nowhere near as perfect as my girlfriend I just seemed to go with her since my girlfriend was away, and I suppose out of sight. I dont know what was going through my mind. Before my girlfriend returned, i did the most stupid thing of my life. i packed up and eloped with my co worker to a different state, got a new phone number, new job and cut off all contact with my the girlfriend returning from canada and got my boss to tell her that i'd met someone else. i was too much of a coward to do it myself. me and my coworker soon feel apart and ive had a string of girlfriend since then, none of which have came anywhere near as perfect as my old girlfriend. i think about her everyday. she was the love of my life though i met her my old girlfriend) in a cafe yesterday when i was back home filling in some paperwork. she was kind and loving as usual and i told her that i know i was a jerk to her but i wanted to talk to her. she me that i could always talk to her but since she had to get back to work, she gave me a phone number to call her on that night. she also told me to phone before 11 because she was going out (with her new boyfriend) anyway, i never called. i dont know why. i guess i was just too much of a coward. please help. what should i do? ive well and truly screwed up

father problems, please help me!?
so my dad started seeing this lady while still with my mom and of course my mom found out about it and have been seprated ever since because of his temper and drinking problem so we recently met this lady and is always butting in on me my sister and dads conversations and its really annoying because im not even talking to her! and i hate the fact that my dad would rather spend time with her than me and my sister! she always talks about my mom and asks me to bring pics of my mom to my dads house for what???? right??!!? i mean i dont know what to do and because of this lady the relationship with my dad has not gotten any better since the seperation of my parents and i really dont know what to do because i really try to talk to my dad about it but he has a really bad temper and is always picking her side and i dont know what to do or think! because i mean he is my dad and it hurts that ive never been close to him!

Problems with School regarding diagnosis?
My son's school psychologist diagnosed him with ADHD. We didn't agree with it because we did not have those types of problems with him at home, he only has behavioral issues at school. They recommended we put him on medication. We declined and said that we would consult with his pediatrician because we did not agree with her diagnosis. We spoke to his pediatrician who also agreed he did not need medications and due to various other issues he had (developmental delays/speech delays/sensory problems/fine motor problems) that he wanted him to be evaluated at a children's hospital. We got the appointment, spent almost 2 days getting him evaluated and tested and he was diagnosed with PDD-NOS, an autism spectrum disorder. We've given copies of the reports to the school stating he does not have ADHD but that he has PDD-NOS. Now the school psychologist is fighting us, saying that she will not accept the diagnosis, that the ADHD diagnosis is still correct. I realize that it can be possible to have ADHD as well as PDD-NOS, however, the doctors that evaluated him at Vanderbilt stated to me and on the report that due to him not displaying ADHD symptoms in more than two locations, and only having behavioral problems at school he does not meet the criteria for an ADHD diagnosis. Why won't they just admit they were wrong and start the process of rewriting his IEP to reflect what is actually wrong with him? What do we need to do as his parents to get them to do right by our son and get him on the right path to a decent education?
