carseat questions for all you moms out there........?
I have a graco car seat/stroller combo with a base that goes in the car, one of the rear facing ones that fits right in the stroller. my daughter is now a year and she is 26 lbs. can she still sit in this car seat rear facing and be safe? the box says up to 30 lbs. she still fits in the seat, her feet hang over but she is not uncomfortable. This seat can only be used for rear facing, it cant be turned around and used as forward facing right? thanks

Car Seat Recalled and I Never Knew?
We purchased a Mia Moda Viva Supreme infant car seat for our son in April 2009. He was born in July 2009. The seat was recalled in October 2009 due to a metal harness splitter plate on the back of the car seat that has sharp edges that can cut the harness and the stay-in-car base can crack during a crash. I filled out the product registration card when we purchased it and mailed it back to them, I think I may have even registered it online. I did not receive any notification about this recall at all. I went on the website today to look for a new stroller and found the recall information! I was so mad that my son has been riding in this seat for the last 8 months and I never knew that it was unsafe! Have you ever had a car seat recalled? Did you get a notification from the manufacturer? Isn't that what the product registration cards are for, to inform the consumer about recalls and product updates? If not, what are they for? Why do I waste my time filling them out if they are not going to notify me of something like this? The reason we purchased this seat over others was due to it's high safety ratings! How ironic! On their website you have to input your seat's serial numbers and manufacture date and then they determine if your seat is eligible for reimbursement. If it is then they send out a return kit in which you must cut out the seat belt and send it to them and they will send reimbursement when they receive it back.

Can anyone give me ideas?
Me and my husband only have one car and it's still too cold to take my son out in his stroller. We've both been getting a little antsy inside the house lately. He's normally a pretty independent player but I think he's just been getting a little bored lately. Does anyone have any ideas of fun things to do inside with a nine month old? I think I'll give bubbles a try, and I don't know if he's still too young for crayons, but any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

What do you think a 1960's Baby Buggy would go for?

Is your marriage sexy enough?
Married for two years with a one year old son, and we've never let the fire die. Here are my tips on how to keep a relationship romantic and exciting...please share yours as well! 1) Have morning sex. Sure, you're groggy and don't feel very attractive when you wake up, but just DO IT! It's a positive start to your day, and he'll have plenty of images to entertain himself at work. 2) Text each other at least twice a day or have a brief phone call at lunch...anything to show your love and appreciation. And if you're brave enough, send a sexy picture 3) The first second you see each other after a work day, embrace in a passionate kiss. A little peck will NOT suffice. You should say I love you more than once a day, and display physical contact throughout your day. (Hold hands, rub their arm, squeeze their butt, anything at all) 4) Take showers together, and wash each other...and whatever else you fee like doing. 5) Cook dinner together. Try a new dish and have fun experimenting. 6) While your children are still babies...strip down to nothing or wear some lingerie when you spend your evenings at home. 7) Start a naughty tradition...Since Wednesday is hump day after all, we drive to a new and reasonably private spot every week and have some fun in the front seat. (And our little angel sleeps in his car seat the whole time) When you can't get a babysitter, try one of these dates 1) Take a bubble bath together and dine on some wine, chocolate and fancy cheese. 2) Go bowling or do miniature golf. Just take turns holding your little one or push them in a stroller so you have free hands. 3) If you live in an apartment...sneak out to the hottub once the baby is asleep, or make dinner and eat in the clubhouse. It's a change of scenery, and you can play pool afterwards. That's all I can think of for now. : )
