Is it ok to leave the foal and mare together?
My foald are about 4 months old now. The mare will wean them, but do you think it is ok to just leave them together, like in the same pasture, like for a year or so I guess. I meant leaving the mare and foal together. I guess in the wild this is normal, since there aren't other pastures to ban the foals to. But will the mares wean enough on their own? So I can just seperate them not until the mare has no more milk. Then they can be back together. These foals are aleady starting to be very independant.

How old do these kittens look?
Our cat Maggie accidentally got outside and got pregnant and gave birth to four kittens. Can you guess how old they are? I'll tell you their real age after. Ps. she's getting fixed after they are weaned. Not a Limbaugh Debate but father started listening to Limbaugh seriously changed to more serious, rigid.....?
thinking and no one wants to spend time with him. He used to be fun to be around. How can we encourage Dad to little by little wean off listening to Rush Limbaugh. Everyone else can see the change except him. He answers questions exactly like Limbaugh would and it's really bizarre---please don't defend Limbaugh because I'm asking for counseling on this not emphasizing politics if that's what you would call him (?) If I were the only one noticing it, I wouldn't bring it up. He was an open-minded delightful person interested in everyone. Now he will turn off the tv if the President is on because Rush has convinced him the President is evil. I guess you have to be around him before after this addiction to understand. Those of us here for him care about his mental health. I guess I shouldn't expect a stranger on YA to identify.

Getting rid of the pacifier - I need tips, tricks and advice please!!!?
My daughter uses her pacifier during nap time and bedtime only. It stays in her crib and she only uses it then. DH and I would like to start thinking about getting rid of it soon and teaching her it's only for babies.... we're expecting again in January and I just don't want both of them to be with pacifiers in their mouth. So, does anyone have any advice for me on how to get rid of them? She's 15 months old and we were hoping to officially have her weaned by her 18 month birthday. She also sleeps with her special blankie and two stuffed animals so she has other things to focus on, but she does freak out if she doesn't have her pacifier at bedtime/naptime.

what age is scientifically too early to wean a baby?
what age would it be harmful to their mental health? physical health?

Why Wont My Kitten Eat?
Hi i got a kitten from a friend of a friend really and I was told he was 8 weeks old weaned and eating solids all the time. He settled in brilliantly at home and all was going well except he wouldn't eat which at the time I put down to anxiety. I was giving him kitten food and milk mixed together but he wouldn't got near it. I've tried heating it up but still nothing i've tried hand feeding him and putting some of the milk and gravy from the food in a syringe and he loves the taste of that but wont go near the dish. I've taken him to the vet who gave me kitten formula for him which he loves and I've tried putting that in with his dinner but still wont touch it. I've had him for a week and he hasn't eaten at all i've had him at the vet twice this week and done everything they've told me but he wont touch it. I have since been in touch with the man who gave him to me to find out what he was feeding him and found out he's actually about 6 weeks old but he's not sure and he was feeding him adult cat biscuits (which is stupid cause his teeth are too small to bite them) and giving him a slice of processed chicken meat a day, he wont say whether or not he was ever given proper kitten food!!! what do i do? He's still lively and running around and playing all the time he drinks loads of water and milk every day and he loves getting kisses and cuddles what do i do when i highly suspect he was never given proper kitten food in the 1st place P.S i know it's a lengthy story but i am desperate for help xx Kaitlin yea I tried him on canned soft food but he's not interested at all oh sorry i should explain when i say above that i'm trying him on kitten food, it's soft kitten food i've tried him on hard once but he wouldn't take it so i'm not trying him again until he starts eating properly and gets a little bigger

How do you breed syrian hamsters?
I have a female syrian she is a golden. My mom is letting me get a male on friday and I wanted to know how to breed them. Should I separate the male after birth? I, of coarse, have different cages for them. Tell me everything about feeding the babies and when they are weaned-i think it's 6 to 8 weeks. Also how,in general,do I breed them? I will read about it on the internet. About.com has many pet care guides, but I just want people that have gone through breeding opinions.
